PETA offers $5000 reward to help catch Bendeela Camp wombat killers
Earlier this month saw the hideous deliberate killings of more than 10 wombats at the Bendeela Campground in the Kangaroo Valley, NSW.
Some of the wombats (believed to be four) killed were lactating mothers, but only one joey was found alive.
PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - have now offered a $5000 reward for information leading to the identification and conviction of those responsible.
Witnesses saw a white four-wheel-drive in the area on Friday night and early Saturday, apparently aiming for the animals.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
